Ramadan 2020 to Commence in the US,Canada on April 24

New York: Muslim organizations in the United States and Canada, following a set calendar, announced the first fast on April 24.

According to the North American Jurisprudence Council, astronomical estimates in the United States and Canada indicate that Ramadan will begin on April 24.The Fiqh Council says that Taraweeh prayers will be offered on April 23.

On the other hand, mosques and organizations following the Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee will announce the start of Ramadan after witnessing the sighting of the moon.

It should be noted that due to the corona virus this year, Muslim organizations have appealed to Muslims to worship at home instead of in mosques.

Many Islamic countries, including Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, will meet on April 23 to observe the month of Ramadan.
