Karachi: A blast took place near Jamaat-e-Islami's Kashmir Day rally in Quaid-e-Azam city. According to Sadaatweb News Reporter, 33 people were injured in a blast at a Jamaat-e-Islami rally near Baitul Mukarram Mosque in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of ​​Karachi. A heavy contingent of police and Rangers reached the spot. Rescue sources said that 33 people were injured in the blast near the rally and the injured were being shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. SSP East said there were initial reports that motorcyclists had fled after throwing grenades. Jamaat-e-Islami leader Merajul Huda said that our morale could not be lowered by the blast, the rally would continue.
Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that Jamaat-e-Islami was expressing solidarity with Kashmiris. "Cowardly acts cannot quell emotions. Workers should co-operate with the police administration and law enforcement agencies," he said. The Sindh Health Department said that 7 injured have been brought to Jinnah Hospital, 11 injured are undergoing treatment at Aga Khan Hospital, 10 injured have been shifted to Liaquat National Hospital, 5 injured are undergoing treatment at Mustafa Hospital. It should be noted that Jamaat-e-Islami was holding a rally in connection with Kashmir Exploitation Day.
