Delhi Capitals have had to replace two players as well as a coach. In this series, the Delhi team has now included 27-year-old Australian all-rounder Daniel Symes in the squad, as England opener Jason Roy is injured.

Delhi Capitals on Thursday announced that Daniel Symes will replace Jason Roy in the upcoming IPL season. Jason Roy has also been ruled out of the three-match T20 series with Pakistan starting today, August 28 due to a muscle strain. Jason Roy recently suffered a muscle strain while preparing for the T20 series against Pakistan at Old Trafford, Manchester.


On Wednesday, Jason Roy's injury was scanned, which revealed that he would not be able to play cricket for the next few weeks. However, Jason Roy will still remain with the England team and go through the rehabilitation process so that he can be fully fit for the limited-overs series with Australia starting next month. Roy had recently struggled during the ODI series played with Ireland and was able to score just 25 runs in three matches.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have said in their statement that Jason Roy has dropped out of the league due to personal reasons. Also on joining Delhi Capitals, Daniel Symes said, "IPL is a big platform for any cricketer. At home we watch this tournament very closely. I am very happy to be a part of it this year. Give me a chance I thank the management of Delhi Capitals. and symes will join the capitals along with Fellow australian players marcus Stoinis and Alex Carrie.

Let us know that earlier Delhi Capitals had included South African fast bowler Enrique Norkhia in the team in place of England fast bowler Chris Woakes. Vox will not be part of IPL this time due to family reasons, while the third change in the Delhi team has taken place in the coaching staff.
