Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has told the Islamabad High Court that he is currently residing in London and will return to Pakistan as soon as his doctors allow him to return home.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has termed the government's decision not to extend his bail as a premeditated plan, saying it was done to discredit him.
It may be recalled that Nawaz Sharif was granted bail on medical grounds in the Azizia Steel Mill reference after which he went to London for treatment.
The court had initially allowed the additions for six weeks and said that if they needed further bail for treatment, they could apply to the Punjab government for a further extension.
However, the Punjab government refused to extend them further.
On Tuesday, a bench of the Islamabad High Court will hear the former prime minister's appeal against the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) court decision. Two NAB accountability courts have heard three verdicts against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar are on bail in the reference regarding London Flats while Nawaz Sharif was acquitted by the accountability court in the flagship reference.
The Islamabad High Court will now decide on the appeals in all three cases.
