ISLAMABAD:Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will leave for China on August 20 to hold meetings with top Chinese leaders to discuss the security situation in C-Pac, Ladakh and the region.

Sources said that Shah Mehmood will also discuss the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan.
It may be recalled that diplomatic sources said that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Pakistan soon, the dates of Chinese President's visit to Pakistan are being fixed, in the context of Krona, the first foreign head of state to visit Chinese President Pakistan. According to diplomatic sources, more investment for C-Pack will be announced during the visit of the Chinese President, who is also expected to address the Parliament of Pakistan.

The Chinese President praised Pakistan's efforts for peace in the region and in the new development journey, it was decided to enhance contacts in the Pak-China community and agreed to enhance the strategic cooperative partnership with strong brotherly neighboring countries.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had assured the Chinese President of Pakistan's full support and said that Pakistan would continue its cooperation with China in all fields, adding that completion of the C-Pac project was among the priorities of the government.
