Saudi government decides to allow Hajj on a limited scale

This year, only people from different countries living in the country will perform Hajj.

Makkah Mukarramah: (Sadaat News. June 23, 2020) Saudi Arabia decided to establish a pilgrimage this year in "very limited numbers" for those of various nationalities who are in the Kingdom, with the ongoing epidemic of the Corona virus worldwide.

The decision was announced in a statement issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia in this regard.
The statement pointed out "the danger of outbreaks of infection in gatherings, human crowds, movements between countries of the world, and increasing rates of infections globally."
The ministry justified the decision by ensuring that "the ritual establishment of a ritual safe in a manner that meets the requirements for prevention and the necessary social separation."

Hajj usually attracts more than two million people from all over the world every year.

In April, Saudi Arabia asked Muslims who intend to perform the ritual this year to wait before concluding contracts for flights to the Kingdom, in the absence of a clear vision of the developments in the spread of the Corona virus.
Earlier in June, a senior official in the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah told the British Financial Times that the authorities were considering canceling the Hajj season for the first time since the kingdom's founding in 1932.
Despite this, the official also indicated that the authorities are studying other scenarios, and will make a decision on this matter soon.
Several countries, including Malaysia and Indonesia, had already decided not to allow their citizens to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform the hajj.

To meet the requirements of protection from Corona - to ensure the safety of the pilgrims, to maintain social distance and to meet the objectives of Islamic law regarding the protection of human life. The number has risen to 161,005, while the total number of deaths from Corona so far has reached 1307.

1 lakh 5 thousand 175 patients have been cured in the country but new cases are still coming. Under these circumstances, it has become very difficult to perform Hajj as usual because if millions of people come from all over the world, it will be impossible to control the epidemic. That is why the Saudi government was considering the payment of Hajj and now it has been decided that pilgrims from other countries will not come for Hajj and those residing in the country will be able to perform Hajj. But it is reassuring for millions of Muslims that the Hajj has not been canceled in spite of all circumstances and that the Hajj will be valid only with a limited number of people.
