Sharjah Municipality confirmed that the agriculture and environment sector is making great efforts to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the emirate through green spaces that increase year after year according to an annual plan to increase them, and harmonious flowers that paint beautiful engineering artistic paintings in various streets and squares. By providing the best irrigation methods and taking full care of them on a daily basis, Sharjah is decorated with 18 million square meters of greenery and 4 million flowers.
Thabet Al-Tarifi, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, stressed that: “The Municipality attaches great importance to agriculture in line with the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and is constantly working to preserve it through the distinguished approach in the methods of planting, irrigation and planting of palm trees. The agreement indicated that the agricultural sector continues to provide many of its electronic services within the remote work system, in line with the directives of the Sharjah government and within the preventive and precautionary measures undertaken by the sector, especially its great efforts in the field of sterilization for all buildings of the municipality and its service centers, and all streets Residential, commercial, industrial, biological and public areas.

For his part, Engineer Jaafar Ali Jaafar, Director of the Sewerage Department in the Municipality of Sharjah City confirmed that: “During the first quarter of this year, the Department connected about 170 residential and commercial buildings to the sewage network, and issued 208 no-objection permits during its work on the remote work system, and to make 474 Wiring for sewage networks within the preventive maintenance work for sewage networks and notes received through the call center ».

The Director of Sewerage Administration stated that the municipality provided the service of withdrawing sewage water through its website within its digital system, where the service was provided free of charge as directed by the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah within the package of exemptions and facilities approved by it, and providing the service according to the work mechanism used in providing the free service and dealt With all requests with the necessary accuracy, especially in light of receiving large numbers of them, and I was keen to organize them all within a period not exceeding 10 days for each application.

For its part, Wassal Jasim Habash, Director of Environmental Services Department confirmed that the department continued to provide most of its services in a digital way, as the department provided more than 12 services provided through the website and was keen to provide all the necessary tools and employees to deal with them according to the best standards.

She explained that the municipality has taken proactive steps and systematic plans to limit the spread of the Corona virus, as it began sterilizing its buildings and service facilities on a daily basis, then expanded its scope of work to include sterilization and disinfection work in all areas of the city of Sharjah, residential, commercial, industrial, streets, walkways and tunnels in cooperation with the government and private sectors in accordance with studied plans daily, weekly and monthly To achieve the municipality’s sterilization goals and the goals of the national sterilization program, it also provided an opportunity for administrative staff in the municipality to volunteer to participate in sterilization work to serve the country and society.
