Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput commits suicide

The actor's body was recovered from his residence in Mumbai. The cause of his suicide is yet to be ascertained.

Leading Indian actor Shashant Singh Rajput committed suicide, the body of the actor was found from his residence in Mumbai. According to details, well-known Bollywood actor Shashant Singh Rajput has committed suicide at his residence. The trapped body of 34-year-old Shashant Singh Rajput was found at his residence in Mumbai. He broke down the door and took his body out of the trap.
According to Indian media, Sashant's body was recovered from his residence in Bandra area of ​​Mumbai. According to Mumbai Police, a preliminary investigation has revealed that Shashant Singh Rajput committed suicide due to depression, however, further investigation is underway.

According to the Hindustan Times, Shant Singh Rajput allegedly committed suicide by locking himself in a room at his residence in the presence of friends.

It may be recalled that Shashant Singh's last film was released in 2019 under the name 'Chhachhoori' which caused a stir at the box office. He started his career with a TV show and after gaining popularity in India, his first film 'Kai Po Chi' was released in 2012 which was well received by the fans. After that he played important roles in many big films and the role of Sarfraz in 'PK' also gave him a lot of fame.
After the lockdown, another of his films 'Dil Bechara' was to come. Earlier, Shashant Singh has also played the lead role in a film based on the famous Indian cricketer MS Dhoni. The actor's suicide came just two days after his manager, 28-year-old Desha Salin, was found dead at his residence.
Shashant Singh Rajput has been nominated for nearly 20 awards during his 12-year career and has won 9 awards, including Best Debut Actor, Best Popular Actor and Best Actor Filmfare, Screen Award and Zee Sign Awards. He is best known for playing the role of Sarfraz, a Pakistani Muslim boy, in Aamir Khan's PK, an Indian Hindu girl in the film, Anushka Sharma, who fell in love with him. He played the role in MS Dhoni: The United Story, a film about Dhoni's life, and his popularity skyrocketed.

Before committing suicide, his last post on Instagram was for his mother, in which he shared a picture of himself and his mother.
The actor was 34 years old and committed suicide at the height of his career. It may be recalled that two great Bollywood actors Irfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor have also passed away recently. Irfan Khan had gone abroad for treatment due to cancer where he died while Rishi Kapoor also died after a serious illness.
