This came during the visit of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the exhibition of the North Baniyas housing project, which is being developed by "Madin Real Estate", one of the subsidiaries of "Holding" (ADQ), which is one of the largest holding companies in the region, It owns a wide portfolio of major institutions operating in major sectors within the diversified economy in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi .. Modon is one of the companies specialized in developing and developing real estate, tourism and housing projects in the emirate in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and coordination with the Department of Municipalities and Transport and the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City.
During the visit, His Highness was briefed on the general plan of the North Baniyas project, which is one of the strategic projects aimed at providing an ideal housing environment for citizens, that meets all their needs and includes a variety of services and community activities that take into account the highest standards of environmental sustainability.
His Highness stressed the importance of providing suitable housing for Abu Dhabi citizens, as it is one of the most important elements of family and community stability and that good leadership gives great priority to the issue of housing in the context of its keenness to ensure a decent and modern life for citizens.
His Highness pointed out the importance of enhancing the participation of various entities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and cooperation between the government and private sectors, to work on developing housing services in the emirate, to continue the march of accomplishments that have been achieved at the level of this sector over the past years, and to ensure the provision of a wide range of sustainable housing options, Hence increasing the competitiveness of Abu Dhabi as one of the best cities to live in the world.
The infrastructure works for the first phase of North Baniyas project will start in August 2020, following the completion of preliminary works for the infrastructure, on a total area of 3 million and 113 thousand and 375 square meters, equivalent to 30% of the total area of the project.
The project includes two bicycle and pedestrian trails, shaded walkways, trees and natural landscapes appropriate to the climate, while the pedestrian paths are 350 meters from the residential complexes, which is equivalent to a 5-minute walk, and the areas designated for community agriculture include longitudinal gardens such as a railway and Al-Baraha located near the Zayed Agricultural Center and a center Baniyas sports and cultural.
According to the contracts concluded, the contractors will be responsible for developing the infrastructure works for the first phase, which includes the construction of internal and external roads, lighting systems, the water and sewage network, groundwater level reduction systems and rainwater drainage, as well as firefighting systems, traffic control, electricity and other infrastructure works in addition to building villas Residential.
