Pakistan's star all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi has announced that he will leave the Sri Lankan Premier League unfinished and return home.
"Unfortunately, I have to return home due to a personal emergency," Shahid Afridi said in a statement on social networking site Twitter.
Afridi said: As soon as the situation is under control- inshallah I will rejoin my team in the Lankan Premier League,
Shahid Afridi did not elaborate on the nature of the emergency.
It should be noted that in the Sri Lankan Premier League, the Gladiators have appointed Shahid Afridi as the captain of the team while Bhanuka Raja Paksa of Sri Lanka is the vice-captain.
